Testimonials…

What parents are saying…

“How can I begin to thank you for the love you showered on my daughter this year. Not only was she blessed by that and your great classroom atmosphere, but her art projects/knowledge far surpasses anything I could have hoped for. Your love, devotion and enthusiasm are such a blessing- thank you for all you ARE and all you do.”

Thank you for giving the girls the gift of the ability to express themselves with art. We love you so!

To our spectacular art teacher, thank you for your sweet spirit and sharing your gift!

What students are saying…

“Thank you so much for being such an inspiring teacher and friend this year. You have been the most inspiring teacher I have ever had! Your classes were the favorite of the whole day! Thanks so much!”

Whenever I have art it makes my day, not only because of the things we do but because of you. You make the most best art work that when ever I see it I feel amazed. I have never in my whole life known such a great artist. I love you more then you know. You can never be any nicer than you are now. When there was no more art class at the studio my heart felt sick. You make my day every time I see you.

Thank you Mrs. Yerington for teaching us about art. You are the best art teacher in the world. I love you and will be back. You are a very fun teacher.

You are very good at art. Thank you for letting me be in your art class at the building. You have taught me a lot of art. It’s fun to draw, paint and sculpt. I’m very glad you get to teach us art. I love to draw all the time now.

A sincere thank you….for teaching me so well. And for keeping it easy. I enjoyed every minute of art class with you! See you in March!

To the coolest art teacher…You are like another Vermeer…but better! Vermeer may have been one of the greatest artists in all world’s history, but he could never top your kindness. You are a spectacular artist and teacher. Every week I am waiting for your classes and looking forward to spending time doing art. I am sad art class is ending, yet I can’t wait for it to begin again.

The importance of art

Art, as best it can, doth follow Nature As pupil follows master, industry Or Art is, so to speak, grandchild to God. From these two sources Mankind must take its sustenance and progress. -Dante’s Inferno

Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. – Pablo Picasso

I saw that everything is so beautiful we should fall down and worship God a hundred times a day. I knew then I’d have to be an artist and nothing else. Nothing else would ever be good enough.
- Michael O’Brien

Art is literacy of the heart. -Elliot Eisner

Art is the signature of civilizations. – Beverly Sills
